Mythweaver and the creative commons license

Skathros has asked about expanding previous editions of Mythweaver or giving permission to the community to do so ... I've actually published five different games under the "Mythweaver" name (starting with a game simply called 'Mythweaver' in 2002). I hereby officially apply the Creative Commons License (to the left) to all games I have released under the Mythweaver moniker (including Mythweaver, Mythweaver: The Splintered Realm 1E and 2E, and Mythweaver: Reckoning).

  3. One thing i'm fuzzy on with regards to the Creative Commons License...If I offer something up for free (Mythweaver stuf)am I also alowed to offer it as a POD (via Lulu)product at cost? I'm not interested in making $ (hence, at cost) but I would like to offer the possibility of fans having a library of hard-copy Mythweaver stuff.

  4. ...oh, will you ever make Mythweaver (Revised) available via Lulu like you did for Legacy?

  5. The Creative Commons License I'm using allows you to remix and change the game, and to publish it (even commercially) as long as you give credit and include a link for information on the License. It's a pretty wide-open license.

As far as publishing stuff on Lulu... no real reason not to! I'll have to see what shape stuff is in.

  6. What exactly does "remix and change" mean?

  7. Remix and change means... well, pretty much freedom to do whatever. If you think you want to create an alternate way to work archetypes, an alternate magic system, new monsters, a different progression system, complex encumbrance rules... whatever - you are free to publish it and make $ off of it, as long as you include the credit back to the original game system(s).

  8. Although I may never take advantage of this, I would like to thank you very much for your generosity. :)

  9. No problem! I know that I don't have the time and energy to expand this game as it could/should be done, and if the community wants to do it, I'd love to see it happen. Right now (and for the near future at least) I'm all in on Army Ants stuff.
