Tale of the Twins: Session Zero

After playing a variety of ways, from solo play to a team of four, I think the best way to proceed for an ongoing campaign is to play two characters. This allows for minimal bookkeeping while still being able to play with the training wheels off. I’m thinking of a brother/sister combination. They are both elves. One is melee and one is magic. I could go with like an arcane archer for the sister and a paladin of sorts for the brother.

Taliana - Elfin Arcane Archer 2
Armor 0; Hits 15; Move 60’; Bow (+3/4) or Dirk (1)
Traits: Might 0; Mind 3; Reflex 3
Tags: Archer; Lore; Mystic (Common, Wild); Sharpshooter
Gear: Short bow 3; Ring of Health (5)
Spells: Glimmering Weapon; Sleep

Teothrin - Elfin Lightbearer 2
Armor 3*; Hits 23; Move 60’; Longsword (+3/4) + Shield (1)
Traits: Might 3; Mind 3; Reflex 0
Tags: Guardian; Mystic (Common, Light); Two Weapons; Warrior
Gear: Studded Leather Armor 2; Shield; Longsword 4; Ring of Health (5)
Spells: Glimmering Weapon; Arcane Arrow

It’s official. This game is perfect (for my play style, at least). It allows me to build a wide variety of characters who synergize their powers and abilities in different ways to produce different results. Both of these characters have simple magic spells that they can use to support their physical combat abilities; Teothrin has an arcane arrow as a signature spell so that he has a ranged combat option for when he cannot get into melee. This is better than picking up a crossbow or something, and it makes him far more versatile. I decided that each would get one random item, and I rolled a ring of health for both of them. I thought that was cool with them being twins and all.
