A Few Things

An assortment of things:

1. Erik Tenkar (of Tenkar's Tavern fame) has shared that he has some health issues going on. I am praying for him, and hope you do, too. He's a good guy, and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

2. Aldo created a fantastic fillable character sheet for Sentinels of Echo City. It's linked to the left. You'll want to download that :)

3. If you are having any trouble with your discounted copy of Tales of the Splintered Realm, please let me know (mtdesing at roadrunner dot com). If you purchased the pdf, you should be getting the print edition for a base price of $10. In the 'thank you' message from drivethrurpg, there is a copy to the direct link for the discounted version. If you cannot find that, I'll send you the link directly via email. For some reason, drivethru is not super excited about helping me sell games on a different site. I would use their POD builder, but the last time I tried I found it impossible to use. Maybe it's better now...

4. I am VERY grateful for the all of the enthusiasm and support people have shown for my projects over the last few weeks. It's been a lot of fun to log on every day and see what people are doing with the games.

5. I am THIS close to being done with my doctorate in educational leadership. I am on the FINAL review stage, and have one more set of edits to do to my dissertation and I should be truly and absolutely done with that beast. Whew.

  1. Howdy Michael,

I'm sorry to hear about Erik. I'll definitely send positive vibes his way and hope for the best.

I'm happy that you like my character sheet and am thrilled that you made it available to others as a download! I hope others enjoy it as well. Oh, and delving into your games has been a lot of fun for me. Digging into Sentinels of Echo City in particular makes me feel like I did when I discovered D&D for the first time (back in 1980), or Champions (in 1982), or SUPERS! (in 2010). I may have to pull back a little for a month or two, as I need to get back to finalizing The Superverse for my backers the moment some outstanding material comes in. BTW, one thing that I'm considering - if you're open to it - is creating a Sentinels of Echo City compatible version of The Superverse.

Finally, congrats on being at those last stages of the PhD! I was there myself back in 2007, so I know how huge it is to be at this point in the process. "Whew!" indeed, and kudos to you, sir!

    All the best,

    Aldo

    1. I would LOVE to see a Sentinels of Echo City compatible with Superverse. That would be sweet. My book is entirely OGL and Creative Commons Share Alike, so I'd appreciate it if my name was in there somewhere, but other than that you can go to town on it.

    3. I want to thank Dr Emu a very powerful spell caster who help me to bring my husband back to me, few month ago i have a serious problem with my husband, to the extend that he left the house, and he started dating another woman and he stayed with the woman, i tried all i can to bring him back, but all my effort was useless until the day my friend came to my house and i told her every thing that had happened between me and my husband, then she told me of a powerful spell caster who help her when she was in the same problem I then contact Dr Emu and told him every thing and he told me not to worry my self again that my husband will come back to me after he has cast a spell on him, i thought it was a joke, after he had finish casting the spell, he told me that he had just finish casting the spell, to my greatest surprise within 48 hours, my husband really came back begging me to forgive him, if you need his help you can contact him with via email: Emutemple@gmail.com or add him up on his whatsapp +2347012841542 is willing to help any body that need his help.

  2. Awesome! I'll make it a priority once I'm done with my current commitments, which SHOULD be by August's end depending on how quickly art comes in. The good news is that having all the art by then, producing a SoEC version of it should go pretty quickly. I could feasibly have it done by Christmas, if not earlier (again, IF COVID-19 doesn't delay the current push later than August, which I hope doesn't happen). Oh, and of COURSE your name would be on it! I imagine it stating "For Use with Michael Desing's Sentinels of Echo City" on the cover.

  3. Sorry to hear about Erik. Congrats on reaching nearing the doctoral finish line! I am so happy to see Aldo not only enjoying SOEC but actually considering doing a version of Superverse for it! I have an Icons draft already, and it is such a great sourcebook! Also, I don't seem to be able to get my Lulu coupon for the print ed of TSR. And of course, I echo Aldo's enjoyment of this new era of Desing-derring-do! :)
